Order-linked packing video for everything shipping through ShipStation
Bring supported ShipStation orders into PallasMark and record packing evidence against the right shipment. Review import status and find the evidence in PallasMark when your team needs it.

From ShipStation shipment data to packing proof
If ShipStation is where your orders converge, that is also where the gap opens. Multi-channel sellers usually have proof habits that vary by channel — careful on the high-value marketplace, casual on the rest — and disputes do not respect that split. Recording at the point where everything already passes through is the only version of this that stays consistent.

In practice
From ShipStation shipment data to packing proof
Connect the source system, find an imported order and record its packing evidence in PallasMark.
- 01
Connect the right store
Add and test ShipStation API credentials, then confirm the store scope for a multi-store account.
- 02
Sync shipment context
Webhooks bring supported events in; scheduled reconciliation checks a recent shipment window for missed events.
- 03
Capture and verify
Record the packing evidence in PallasMark and use the verification page when a reviewer needs to check the original file.
Illustrative dispatch scene. PallasMark does not create ShipStation shipments or write proof back to the source order.

How it works
- 01
Connect with an API key
Add your ShipStation API credentials once. The connection can be tested from the dashboard before you rely on it.
- 02
Orders arrive by webhook
ShipStation notifies PallasMark as orders come in, and the connection is identified per store so a multi-store account stays separated.
- 03
A reconcile pass double-checks
A scheduled job re-reads the recent window and creates anything the webhook missed. Webhooks fail occasionally; a silent gap in your evidence is worse than a late record.
- 04
Film while you pack
The order is on the bench device, the recording seals on upload, and the verify link is ready to paste into whichever channel's dispute form you end up in.
Under the hood
Every value here is a behaviour in the product, not a plan or a promise.
- Connection
- ShipStation API key, testable from the dashboard
- Order intake
- Webhooks, per-connection store identity
- Safety net
- Scheduled reconcile pass over the recent window
- Write-back
- None — ShipStation orders are read, never modified
- Seal
- SHA-256 on the original bytes, public verify page
Questions
01Connection and access
How do I connect ShipStation?
Add the ShipStation API credentials in PallasMark and test the connection from the dashboard before using it for live orders.
Can I scope a connection to a ShipStation store?
Yes. A connection can use a ShipStation store ID. Confirm the intended store scope when you connect a multi-store account.
How do orders reach PallasMark?
ShipStation sends supported events through webhooks. PallasMark also reconciles a recent shipment window to catch events that did not arrive.
Are ShipStation webhooks the only way orders sync?
No. The scheduled reconcile pass rereads recent shipments as a safety net and can process a shipment missed by a webhook.
Will every past order be imported?
Do not assume a full historical backfill. Reconciliation checks a recent modified window; ask support about older records or a planned migration.
02Orders and matching
Why is a shipment not visible yet?
The webhook or the next reconciliation may still be pending. Check the connection test, store scope and sync status before trying again.
What order and shipment details are mapped?
PallasMark normalizes available order or shipment identifiers, line items, quantities, SKUs, shipping details and status fields from the supported payload.
Can I connect several ShipStation stores?
You can configure store-scoped connections. Check each connection’s store ID so similar order numbers remain in the intended store context.
How are duplicate webhook deliveries handled?
The sync path uses shipment/order identity to associate incoming records. If a record looks duplicated, share the shipment and connection references with support.
Can a proof be linked to an item?
When ShipStation includes line-item identifiers or SKUs, that context can help your team select the right item. Confirm the order details before recording.
03Evidence and review
Can I record both packing photos and video?
Yes. Record on the PallasMark web or mobile app at the packing station and complete the evidence record there.
Where can staff review the completed proof?
Review and verify the completed proof in PallasMark. The ShipStation integration does not add proof references back to the source order.
Does PallasMark buy labels or create shipments?
No. It does not buy labels, create ShipStation shipments or control carrier pickup.
Can PallasMark change ShipStation order status?
No. The connector reads supported order and shipment data; it does not change order or fulfillment status in ShipStation.
Does PallasMark write proof into ShipStation?
No. Proof write-back is not supported for this connector. Keep the record in PallasMark and use its verification link in another workflow if appropriate.
04Scope and troubleshooting
Can proof be used for an order from another sales channel?
If that order is represented in the connected ShipStation data, the proof can be reviewed in PallasMark. PallasMark does not post it to an upstream marketplace for you.
How can someone check that a proof file is unchanged?
Completed proof files carry a SHA-256 hash, which the public verification page can check against the original bytes.
What should I do if a webhook was missed?
Check that the connection and store scope are healthy, then allow the scheduled reconciliation to revisit the recent window. Contact support if the shipment remains absent.
Does PallasMark notify buyers automatically?
No. The connector does not send buyer messages. Your team controls any separate proof-sharing action.
Does proof guarantee a carrier claim outcome?
No. It can give your team a record to review, while the carrier or other reviewer applies its own evidence rules and makes the decision.
