Rabot alternative: packing proof without cameras or a 10-station minimum

On this page
Competitor details are taken from their public pages, checked October 2026.
Rabot is built for a specific kind of floor: ten or more fixed pack stations running all day, where the 3PL wants cameras and vision AI watching every bench. If that is not your floor, or if your hardest disputes happen at the dock rather than the pack bench, the comparison looks different. This page sets out what Rabot does, what its published pricing means at one, three and five stations, and where PallasMark goes further for 3PLs. For the rest of the category, see our packing video software comparison.
What Rabot is and what it does
Rabot is a vision AI platform for warehouse pack stations from Rabot Inc. Its homepage sums it up as "Your WMS records intent. Rabot records reality." A camera mounts above each existing pack station over USB, an operator screen called Pulse sits at the bench, and every order is recorded and linked to the order ID from the WMS.
According to its own pages:
- Products live today: Pack, Scan, Ship (multi-carrier labels at the station), Undo (returns, labeled beta) and Workflows. Dock, Flow, Pick and Sort are listed as coming soon.
- Vision AI: "Trained on 131 million items and 142 billion frames", per its homepage. Its packing video verification page says the AI identifies items as they enter the box and flags mismatches against the order before sealing.
- Integrations: 62 WMS platforms, including Extensiv, ShipHero, ShipStation, Deposco, Packiyo, Blue Yonder, Körber, Manhattan, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS and NetSuite.
- Security: SOC 2 compliant; AI runs on the edge at each station, "only processed metadata and short replay clips leave the warehouse", and faces are blurred automatically, per its pricing FAQ.
- Results it reports: Rabot says Manifest.eco "eliminated 90% of dispute liability in 15 days". That is Rabot's own customer claim.
Rabot also has a Shopify App Store listing, launched May 15, 2026 and free to install, which had no reviews when we checked and notes that Rabot may bill separately from the Shopify invoice.
For a large 3PL that wants per-station analytics, cycle times and AI item checks across a big fixed floor, that is a serious operations platform. The trade-offs follow from the same design: hardware above every bench, a ten-station entry point, and a record built for your own team to replay rather than for a client, a bank or a buyer to check on their own.

What Rabot costs per year, and what PallasMark costs instead
The smallest Rabot deployment costs $17,880 a year on Core and $29,880 a year on Plus. Rabot's pricing page, checked October 2026, lists Core at $149 per station per month and Plus at $249, "Billed annually (10 station minimum)", and its FAQ says the subscription is "billed annually, paid upfront".
| Stations you actually need | Billed as | Core per year | Plus per year | Core cost per station you use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10 stations | $17,880 | $29,880 | $17,880 |
| 3 | 10 stations | $17,880 | $29,880 | $5,960 |
| 5 | 10 stations | $17,880 | $29,880 | $3,576 |
| 10 | 10 stations | $17,880 | $29,880 | $1,788 |
| 20 | 20 stations | $35,760 | $59,760 | $1,788 |
What the table leaves out:
- Add-ons with no listed price: 90-day replay, the branded client portal, and Digital QA or financial dashboards if you stay on Core.
- Hardware: the page says "Hardware is a monthly lease" with zero capital outlay, but does not say whether the lease sits inside the per-station price. Ask before you budget.
- Floor space: a camera-and-screen station is fixed to a bench. A returns table or a seasonal overflow bench needs its own station, and the dock product is not live yet.
PallasMark costs no hardware and no per-station fees. Every phone on the team records, at any bench, dock or trailer door, and you can start on the free plan with no card. The verification page, buyer approval and evidence PDF are included from the first order, and records are kept for 90 days by default on every plan, with disputed orders never purged. Current plans are on the pricing page.
Where PallasMark goes further than Rabot
PallasMark goes further than Rabot in four places that matter to 3PLs: who can check the proof, how much of the warehouse it covers, what it does for the brands you ship for, and how it gets in front of a bank.
Your client checks the proof, not just your team
Rabot's pitch for disputes is speed for your own staff: "You type the order ID. The packing video plays." That helps internally. A client disputing a mispick, though, sees a clip from your system with nothing they can check on their own.
PallasMark gives every proof a SHA-256 fingerprint and a public verification page that re-hashes the stored file on the spot and shows whether it still matches. The client opens it with no account and no login, and there is no edit button for recordings anywhere in the product. You can share exactly one record with a client brand, with an expiry date, an optional PIN and download settings, and revoke it later, without giving access to anything else in the warehouse. How verification works covers what that check proves, and 3PL mispick dispute evidence walks through using it in a client claim.
Receiving, loading and pallets, not just the pack bench
A 3PL dispute can start long before packing: a short-shipped inbound, a damaged pallet, a trailer loaded wrong. Rabot lists Dock as coming soon. PallasMark records receiving, packing, loading and dispatch today, each tied to a shipment, pallet or lot reference, a facility and a client brand. Each record carries a location check and custom fields such as PO, seal number, SKU or lot, and records can be searched by facility, client, date, condition, creator and custom field. Standalone records work without any store connection. See warehouse proof and receiving freight damage.
More for the brands you ship for
PallasMark adds two steps your clients' customers take part in. Before dispatch, a high-value order can go to the buyer as a sealed recording; they open a link with no app or password and choose Approve or Report an issue, and the record keeps how long they watched. When a return is opened, the buyer is asked to film the item and its packaging through a link, automatically on Shopify and ShipHero returns. A 3PL that offers both gives its brands evidence they cannot get from a camera over a bench. See buyer approval and return evidence.
A dispute file in the format banks accept
Card disputes run on documents. Shopify's chargeback instructions accept only PDF, JPEG or PNG and say not to include video files or links to external resources. PallasMark builds an evidence dossier on request: a PDF with four stills from each recorded video (up to six videos), order details, photos, fingerprints, buyer approval and return evidence, and the carrier and tracking number read from the store. The brand downloads it and uploads it to its payment provider. See chargeback evidence.
Switch from Rabot in an afternoon
Switching from Rabot to PallasMark takes an afternoon on the PallasMark side because nothing is mounted, leased or cabled. The only planning item is Rabot's annual term.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Rabot alternative for a 3PL?
For 3PLs and brands that need packing proof without installing cameras, PallasMark is the strongest Rabot alternative. It records on the phones the team already carries, seals every file with a SHA-256 fingerprint and lets clients check the record themselves with no account. It also covers receiving, loading, pallets and lots today, and adds buyer approval, buyer return footage and a dispute-ready PDF for the brands you ship for.
How much does Rabot cost per year?
Rabot's pricing page, checked in October 2026, lists Core at $149 per station per month and Plus at $249, billed annually with a 10-station minimum. That makes the smallest Core deployment $17,880 a year and the smallest Plus deployment $29,880 a year, before add-ons such as 90-day retention or a branded client portal. Enterprise is custom-priced.
Can I buy Rabot for one or two packing stations?
Not on its published plans. Rabot's pricing page says every plan starts at 10 pack stations, so a three-station operation still pays for ten. PallasMark has no station minimum and no per-station fees, and you can start on the free plan with no card.
Does PallasMark work with ShipHero and ShipStation?
Yes. PallasMark connects to ShipStation and ShipHero, as well as Shopify, WooCommerce and Amazon Seller Central for the US and Canada. ShipHero returns also trigger PallasMark's request for the buyer to film the returned item automatically.
Can my 3PL clients check packing proof without a login?
Yes. Every PallasMark proof has a public verification page that re-hashes the stored file and shows whether it still matches its fingerprint, with no account needed. You can also share one specific record with a client brand through a link with an expiry date, an optional PIN and download settings, and revoke it at any time.
What AI does PallasMark use in the warehouse?
On the Scale plan, AI label reading turns a photo of a package label into an editable form with supplier, batch or lot, quantity, location, condition and your own custom fields such as a serial number or PO. The operator reviews it before saving, and a scanned barcode always wins over the AI reading.
Do I need to mount cameras above my pack stations to use PallasMark?
No. PallasMark records on iPhone, Android or a browser, so there is nothing to mount, lease or cable. The same phone that records the pack can record an inbound pallet at the dock or a trailer at the door, each tied to its shipment, pallet or lot reference.
