Shopify packing video apps compared (2026): price, storage and proof

On this page
Competitor details are taken from their public pages, checked October 2026.
The Shopify App Store filled up with packing video apps in 2026. Search it for "packing video" and you get a page of new listings, most launched in the last twelve months, most with few or no reviews, and most describing the same thing: open the order, record, share a link. The differences sit in places the listings do not lead with: where the file lives, how long it survives, and what a stranger can do with it.
This roundup reads each app's own listing, prices realistic setups and shows where proof differs from a recording. For fixed-camera stations and non-Shopify tools, see the full packing video software comparison.
The Shopify packing video apps at a glance
There are seven active packing video or photo proof apps worth knowing on the Shopify App Store in October 2026, plus PallasMark. Prices are as listed on each app's Shopify page.

| VuDrop | $29.99 or $59.99 a month plus usage | 10 recordings/month | Video on a phone or tablet | Vendor, 14 to 28 days by plan |
| Boxwitness | $9.99 to $129 a month ($99.90 to $1,290 a year) | 7-day trial only | Webcam video per box, item barcode checks | Vendor, 90 to 365 days by plan |
| PallasMark | Free plan; see pricing | Free plan, no card | Video and photos on iPhone, Android or browser | PallasMark cloud, 90 days by default, never purged during an open dispute, chargeback or return |
Also on the store: PackRight (VisAI Labs) lists a desktop app and USB camera with plans from $5 to $39 a month and up to 60-day retention; Po-Ko Pack takes photo packing proofs with item checks and a branded receiver QR page from $9.99 a month; Packproof by E&L Asia Pacific attaches a timestamped photo and printable certificate for $5.99 a month. PackClip is no longer an option: its listing says "This app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store."
What each app does, according to its listing
Each app solves a narrower problem than its name suggests, so here is the one-line job each listing describes.
Parcel Proof Video (H3 Technologies, launched June 2026, 5.0 from 3 reviews) records or uploads in the Shopify admin or an optional Android app, watermarks videos with store name, date and order number, and saves the viewer link to an order metafield. Its privacy policy caps retention at 45 days. Full breakdown in our Parcel Proof Video alternative piece.
Mify Packing Video Recorder (Mifycom, launched January 2026, no reviews yet) adds a "View Packing Video" button to shipping emails through a snippet, and the link opens a page on your store domain with no login. Its product page says the recorder uses a computer or tablet camera, records up to 60 seconds without sound, and that videos saved to Google Drive are shared so anyone holding the link can watch them.
HyprPack (HYPRDEV Solutions, launched August 2026, no reviews yet) is a pack-verification tool first: scan the airway bill to load the order, scan each product barcode to confirm the variant, and record the session as video. Its site, pack-flow.app, describes the product as unifying Shopify, Shopee and TikTok Shop orders.
SnapPack (Power Code Apps, launched August 2025, 5.0 from 8 reviews, Built for Shopify) attaches package photos to the order and can send branded emails with those photos to the customer. It is built around photos rather than video.
PackProof (launched May 2026, no reviews yet) runs in the browser with a webcam and stamps the order ID into the file. Its site is explicit that video files download straight to the packer's computer and that PackProof never handles the video itself. Paid plans arrive after the beta.
VuDrop (SUPARAIN, launched October 2026, no reviews yet) starts recording when a shipping label barcode is scanned on a phone or tablet, matches the video to the order by tracking number and lets you send the buyer a link. It also has a separate return inspection mode.
Boxwitness (Yamado Technologies, launched October 2026, no reviews yet) turns a computer with a webcam into a packing station, checks items by barcode, records returns as they are opened and offers a one-click proof PDF for chargebacks and claims.
Proof video vs marketing video: two different jobs
A packing video can do two jobs, and most apps are built for one of them. Knowing which one you are buying saves a painful discovery during your first contested chargeback.
The reassurance job. The buyer gets a branded email or page showing their order being packed. It lowers "where is my order" tickets, builds trust and sometimes heads off a complaint. Mify's email button, SnapPack's photo emails and Po-Ko Pack's branded receiver page are built for this. It works because the buyer is friendly.
The proof job. Someone who does not trust you (a bank reviewer, a marketplace agent, a buyer who says the box was empty) has to accept the record. Now three things matter: the file is tied to the order in a way nobody typed in later, it can be shown to be unedited, and it arrives in a format the reviewer's form accepts. On that last point, Shopify's chargeback instructions accept only PDF, JPEG or PNG and say not to include video files or links to external resources.
A watermark helps with the first point, not the second. A viewer link fails the third. The full standard is in our packing video evidence checklist.
PallasMark does both jobs with one recording: the same sealed file goes to the buyer for approval and into the evidence PDF for the bank.
Side by side: what each app can actually prove
Every app on this list can show a video or photo to someone. Only one adds an integrity check a stranger can run, the buyer's own decision and return footage.
| App | Tied to the order by | Integrity check | Buyer view link | Buyer approves before dispatch | Buyer films the return | Dispute PDF |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Parcel Proof Video | Order metafield | Watermark | ✓ | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |
| Mify | Saved to its order | Not listed | ✓ No login | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |
| HyprPack | Airway bill and item barcode scans | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |
| SnapPack | Photos on the order | Not listed | ✓ Photo emails | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |
| PackProof | Order ID in file metadata | Watermark and MP4 metadata | Not listed (file stays on your PC) | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |

| PallasMark | Barcode scan opens the order; metafields and tags written back | SHA-256 fingerprint and public verification page | ✓ No app, no account | ✓ | ✓ Automatic on Shopify returns | ✓ Every plan |
"Not listed" means the capability does not appear on the app's own pages as of October 2026, not that we proved it absent.
What a realistic setup costs per year
Prices in this category are per video, per box, per recording or per station, so the only fair comparison is a yearly bill at a real volume. Two typical Shopify stores, annual billing where offered, one recording per order, figures from each app's Shopify listing:
| App | 300 orders a month, 1 bench | 1,500 orders a month, 3 benches |
|---|---|---|
| Parcel Proof Video | Pro $290 + 50 extra videos a month at $0.15 = $380 | Scale = $790 |
| Mify | Above the listed free limit; no paid plan listed | Above the listed free limit; no paid plan listed |
| HyprPack | Starter = $149 (1 station, 30-day retention) | Growth = $369 (3 stations, 90-day retention) |
| SnapPack (photos only) | Professional $9.99 × 12 = $119.88 | Business $29.99 × 12 = $359.88 |
| PackProof | $0 during beta; paid pricing not announced | Same |
| VuDrop | Growth $29.99 × 12 = $359.88 (21-day retention) | Scale $59.99 + 500 extra at $0.04, × 12 = $959.88 |
| Boxwitness | Starter caps at 250 boxes, so Growth = $490, plus a computer and webcam | Growth = $490, plus a computer and webcam per station |
PallasMark: free plan with no card, no hardware to buy and no per-station or per-camera fees; every phone on the team records. The verification page, buyer approval and the evidence PDF are included from the first order. Paid plans are billed yearly; see pricing.
Hardware is the hidden line. Boxwitness, PackProof, Mify and PackRight all assume a computer, webcam or tablet at the bench, and several price by station or device. A phone-based setup adds no equipment and no per-bench charge when you open a second packing table.
Where PallasMark goes further
PallasMark goes further on everything that happens after the recording, which is where disputes are decided.
- Sealed and verifiable. Every file gets a SHA-256 fingerprint, and each proof has a public verification page that re-hashes the stored file on the spot. Buyers, banks and marketplace agents open it with no account. There is no edit button for recordings anywhere. See how verification works.
- Buyer approval before dispatch. Hold a high-value parcel, send the sealed recording with one tap, and the buyer approves or reports an issue through a link with no app or password. Watch time is recorded in seconds, and you can require part of the video to be watched first. See buyer approval.
- The buyer films the return. Shopify returns trigger a request for the buyer's own photos or video of what is coming back. See return evidence.
- A dispute file in the bank's format. On request, one PDF per order with four stills per video (up to six videos), order details, photos, fingerprints, the buyer's approval, return evidence, and the carrier and tracking number read from Shopify fulfillments. You download it and upload it yourself. Shopify Payments chargebacks open a case in PallasMark with reminders 7 days and 48 hours before the deadline. See chargeback evidence.
- Proof on the Shopify order. Write-back adds metafields (proof URL, status, content hash) and tags, so support filters orders with and without proof in the admin.
- Phones, not stations. Native iPhone and Android apps in seven languages, or any browser. Scan the slip or label and the right order opens. See the packing video recording app.
- Beyond Shopify. The same account connects WooCommerce, ShipStation, ShipHero and Amazon Seller Central (US and Canada), and runs warehouse records for receiving and loading.
How to choose a Shopify packing video app
Choose by asking what each app does when a claim is contested, not by comparing record buttons. These eight questions sort the listings fast:
PallasMark is built to give a strong answer to every question on that list: a PDF and a verification page for strangers, a published fingerprint, phones instead of stations, the buyer's approval and return footage, and one account across channels. The setup details, including what to film and how to bind proof to the line item, are in how to record packing video proof on Shopify, and the Shopify integration page lists what the app reads and writes.
Switch to sealed proof in an afternoon
Moving to PallasMark from any app on this list takes an afternoon, because it installs from the Shopify App Store and needs no hardware.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best packing video app for Shopify?
It depends on whether you need a clip or proof. Most Shopify packing video apps record a video and share a link. PallasMark records on iPhone, Android or the browser and adds a SHA-256 fingerprint for every file, a public verification page anyone can open without an account, buyer approval before dispatch, buyer-filmed return evidence and a dispute-ready PDF, and it starts on a free plan with no card.
Is there a free packing video app for Shopify?
Yes, several. As listed in October 2026: Parcel Proof Video's free plan gives 30 videos a month up to 30 seconds; Mify's free plan stores 50 videos in the app and then 100 a month in your own Google Drive; HyprPack's free plan covers 50 orders and one hour of video a month; VuDrop's free plan gives 10 recordings a month; PackProof is free during its beta. PallasMark also has a free plan with no card, and it includes the verification page, buyer approval and the evidence PDF.
Where do Shopify packing video apps store the videos?
It varies. Parcel Proof Video uses Google Cloud Storage and deletes videos after up to 45 days. Mify moves videos to your own Google Drive after the first 50, shared so anyone with the link can view. PackProof downloads the file to the packer's computer and never stores the video. HyprPack, VuDrop and Boxwitness keep videos for 7 to 365 days depending on plan. PallasMark keeps proofs for 90 days by default and never purges an order with an open dispute, chargeback or return.
Can I send a packing video link in a Shopify chargeback?
Not as the main evidence. Shopify's chargeback instructions accept only PDF, JPEG or PNG and say not to include video files or links to external resources. That is why PallasMark builds an evidence PDF with four stills from each recorded video, the order details and the fingerprints, which you download and upload yourself.
Do I need a webcam or a packing station for these apps?
Some apps assume one. PackProof and Mify record in a browser on a computer or tablet camera, Boxwitness turns a computer with a webcam into a packing station, and PackRight lists a desktop app and a USB camera. Parcel Proof Video records in the Shopify admin or an optional Android app, and VuDrop runs on a phone or tablet. PallasMark runs on any iPhone, Android phone or browser, with no per-station fees.
Is PackClip still available on Shopify?
When we checked in October 2026, the PackClip listing on the Shopify App Store said the app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store, and the website linked from the listing did not load. If you used it, export what you need and plan a replacement.
What is the difference between a packing proof video and a marketing packing video?
A marketing or reassurance video is meant to please the buyer: a branded email or page showing their order being packed. A proof video is meant for someone who does not trust you: it has to be tied to the order, provably unedited and convertible into a document a bank accepts. Some apps do the first, a few do the second. PallasMark does both, because the same sealed recording can go to the buyer for approval and into the evidence PDF.
