Parcel Proof Video alternative: sealed, verifiable order proof on Shopify

Parcel Proof Video is one of the newer packing video apps on the Shopify App Store, and it does the core job cleanly: open an order, record the pack, get a link on the order. If that is all you need, it works. Most sellers who look for an alternative have hit the next question instead: what happens when a buyer, a bank or a marketplace agent who does not trust you looks at that clip?

What Parcel Proof Video is and does

Parcel Proof Video is a Shopify-only app that records a packing video per order, watermarks it and saves a viewer link to the order. According to its Shopify App Store listing, it is built by H3 Technologies in Karachi, launched on June 8, 2026, and had a 5.0 rating from 3 reviews when we checked.

What the listing and the developer's own pages describe:

• Capture: record or upload inside the Shopify admin, or use an optional Android app with webcam support. Multi-box orders can get one video per package.
• Watermark: each video carries the store name, date and order number.
• Order link: the viewer link is saved to an order metafield so you can share it by email or WhatsApp. The privacy policy names the metafield parcel_proof.video_url.
• Storage: videos go to Google Cloud Storage and stream through short-lived signed URLs.
• Retention: videos are deleted after the period the merchant sets, "up to a maximum of 45 days", and store data and videos are deleted about 48 hours after uninstall.
• Plans: Free, Basic, Pro and Scale, priced per video with per-clip length caps (details in the cost section below).

That is a tidy recorder. What it does not describe is anything that happens after the link is shared: no fingerprint a stranger can check, no buyer decision, no return footage, no document for the bank.

Parcel Proof Video charges per video, so the yearly bill depends on order volume, clip length and how many boxes each order ships in. The plans below are listed on its Shopify App Store page, checked October 2026.

Two details move these numbers. Multi-box orders use one video per package, so a store that splits orders pays for more videos than orders. And the 720p cap below Scale matters when the disputed detail is small: a serial number, a seal, a size label.

A seal anyone can check, without asking you

Every file stored in PallasMark gets a SHA-256 fingerprint. Change a single frame and the fingerprint no longer matches. Each proof has a public verification page that re-hashes the stored file on the spot and shows whether it still matches, and the buyer, a bank, a carrier or a marketplace agent can open it with no account and no login. A watermark answers "which order does this claim to be?" A fingerprint answers "has it changed since?" Disputes are decided on the second question.

The buyer approves the parcel before it ships

For high-value or dispute-prone orders, hold the parcel and send the buyer the sealed recording first. They open a link with no app, no account and no password, watch, and choose Approve or Report an issue. The record keeps how many seconds they watched, and you can require them to watch a share of the video before the approve button unlocks. Location is optional and only captured if you enable it and the buyer allows it.

The buyer films the return

When a Shopify return is opened, PallasMark automatically asks the buyer to film or photograph the returned item and its packaging through a link. You choose from seven return reasons, make the evidence optional or required, and keep the link open for a window from 1 to 168 hours. A dispute file the bank will actually take

Shopify's chargeback instructions accept only PDF, JPEG or PNG and say not to include video files or links to external resources. A clip link, however well watermarked, does not fit that form.

PallasMark builds one evidence file per order on request: a PDF with four stills from each recorded video (up to six videos), the order details and verdict, photos, fingerprints, the buyer's approval and any return evidence, plus the carrier and tracking number read from your Shopify fulfillments.
