Cargosnap alternative: warehouse photo proof tied to orders and pallets

On this page
Competitor details are taken from their public pages, checked October 2026.
Cargosnap and PallasMark both put a phone in the hands of warehouse staff and turn what they photograph into a record. The difference is what happens next. Cargosnap organizes inspections into structured files and reports. PallasMark seals each file so a stranger can check it, and carries the same evidence from the dock through packing to the buyer. This page covers what Cargosnap does, what it costs at one, three and five devices, and where PallasMark goes further. For the wider field, see our packing video software comparison.
What Cargosnap is and what it does
Cargosnap is a mobile inspection and documentation app for logistics teams. Its homepage describes it as a "material handling platform" for logistics service providers and shippers, with Maersk and DP World among the customers it names.
According to its own pages:
- Capture: the mobile app for iOS and Android captures photos and videos, works fully offline and syncs when reconnected.
- References: it scans barcodes, documents, QR codes and container codes, and flags unrecognized or mismatched codes, so every photo lands in the right file.
- Forms and workflows: digital forms combine photos, signatures, dropdowns and text, and workflows walk operators through each inspection step.
- Timestamps and location: its damage claims article says every photo is timestamped and geo-tagged.
- Reports and sharing: files can be downloaded as a PDF report, and the help center explains that a file can be shared with people outside your organization who have no paid account, with an expiry date field and an option to allow ZIP or PDF download.
- Integrations: its integrations list names Softpak, Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Automate, CargoWise, Navis N4, Boltrics, LINCROS, BluJay, Blue Yonder, Odoo and eCargo, alongside APIs and webhooks.
- Plans: every plan includes all features, unlimited users, AI features, offline mode and a dedicated customer success manager, with a 14-day free trial and no card, per its pricing page.
Its iOS app is published by Proof of Condition Solutions BV and, when we checked the App Store listing, did not yet have enough ratings to display an overview.
For a container terminal, a freight forwarder or a contract warehouse running CargoWise, Navis or Blue Yonder, that is a well-fitted inspection tool. Its center of gravity is the inspection file. It is not built around the e-commerce order, the buyer, or a check that an outsider can run on the file.
Cargosnap vs PallasMark, side by side
PallasMark matches Cargosnap's phone-based capture and adds what turns a condition photo into evidence: a fingerprint anyone can check, the link to the order, and the buyer's own part in the record.

| 30 | 30 devices | €1,047 | €12,564 | €419 |
What the table leaves out:
- Annual billing is offered "across all plans", but no annual prices are listed, so the figures above use the monthly prices.
- Growth comes in blocks of ten. The eleventh device moves you from €4,188 to €8,376 a year.
- The page shows other currencies through a toggle; the figures here are the euro prices in the page's own structured data.
PallasMark costs no hardware and no per-device fees. Every phone on the team records, from the dock to the packing bench, and you can start on the free plan with no card. The verification page, buyer approval and evidence PDF are included from the first order, and records are kept for 90 days by default on every plan, with any order under an open dispute, chargeback or return never purged. Current plans are on the pricing page.
Where PallasMark goes further than Cargosnap
PallasMark goes further than Cargosnap in four places: a photo that proves itself, one record from the dock to the buyer, a claim file built from video, and AI that fills in the label for you.
A photo that proves itself
Cargosnap timestamps and geo-tags its photos and says that makes evidence verifiable. A timestamp and a location are still details the reviewer reads off your system. PallasMark adds a check the reviewer runs themselves: every stored file gets a SHA-256 fingerprint, and each proof has a public verification page that re-hashes the file on the spot and shows whether it still matches. Change a single pixel and it no longer matches. Photos also carry your company name, the order number and the upload time inside the image file, so the context travels with the picture. How verification works explains what the check proves.
One record from the dock to the buyer
A pallet arrives damaged, the stock is put away, and weeks later an order from that lot leaves the building. In an inspection app, the receiving inspection lives in its own inspection file. In PallasMark, receiving, packing, loading and dispatch are records tied to the same shipment, pallet or lot reference, the facility and the client brand, and connected stores bring the e-commerce orders in on their own. The packing proof for each order sits on that order. For the buyer, PallasMark adds two steps: approving a sealed recording of the parcel before it ships, and filming the item when a return is opened. See warehouse proof, buyer approval and return evidence.
A claim file built from photos and video
PallasMark builds an evidence dossier on request: a PDF with four stills from each recorded video (up to six videos), the photos, order details, fingerprints, buyer approval and return evidence, and the carrier and tracking number read from the store. Every generated PDF is stored with its own hash and logged. If you prefer a link, it can last 1 to 30 days, take an optional PIN, be revoked, and count its opens, with buyer personal data partly masked. For card disputes this matters, because Shopify's chargeback instructions accept only PDF, JPEG or PNG and rule out video files and outside links. You download the PDF and submit it to the carrier, insurer or payment provider yourself. See chargeback evidence and the carrier damage claims guide.
AI that reads the label for you
On the Scale plan, when a scanned code matches no order, the operator photographs the package label and AI label reading fills supplier, batch or lot, quantity, location, condition and your own custom fields, such as a serial number or PO, into an editable form. The operator reviews it before saving, and a scanned barcode always wins over the AI reading. That turns a messy inbound into a searchable record. Records can then be filtered by facility, client, date, condition, creator and custom field.
Switch from Cargosnap in an afternoon
Switching from Cargosnap to PallasMark takes an afternoon because both run on phones you already have. The work is mapping your inspection fields.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Cargosnap alternative?
For warehouses and 3PLs whose condition photos need to hold up with clients, carriers and buyers, PallasMark is the strongest Cargosnap alternative. It ties photos and video to the shipment, pallet, lot or order, fingerprints every file with SHA-256 and gives anyone a verification page that needs no account. It also connects the dock to e-commerce orders, with packing proof, buyer approval, buyer-filmed returns and a dispute-ready PDF.
How much does Cargosnap cost?
Cargosnap's pricing page, checked in October 2026, lists €349 a month for 10 devices, €698 for 20 devices and €1,047 for 30 devices, billed monthly, with custom pricing above 30 devices. That is €4,188 a year for the smallest plan. Annual billing is offered, but annual prices are not listed.
Can I use Cargosnap with only two or three phones?
The smallest plan on Cargosnap's pricing page covers 10 devices at €349 a month, so a team of two or three pays the same €4,188 a year as a team of ten. PallasMark has no per-device or per-station fees, every phone on the team records, and you can start on the free plan with no card.
Does Cargosnap connect to Shopify or WooCommerce?
Shopify and WooCommerce are not on Cargosnap's integrations list, which names logistics and business systems such as CargoWise, Navis N4, Blue Yonder, Boltrics, Softpak, Odoo and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Cargosnap also offers APIs and webhooks. PallasMark connects directly to Shopify, WooCommerce, ShipStation, ShipHero and Amazon Seller Central.
Can a carrier or insurer check PallasMark photos without an account?
Yes. Every PallasMark proof has a public verification page that re-hashes the stored file on the spot and shows whether it still matches its SHA-256 fingerprint. A carrier, insurer, client or marketplace agent can open it with no account. You can also share one record through a link with an expiry date, an optional PIN and download settings, and revoke it later.
Can PallasMark document inbound containers and freight damage?
Yes. Warehouse records cover receiving, packing, loading and dispatch, each tied to a shipment, pallet or lot reference, a facility and a client brand, with custom fields such as container number, seal number or PO. Each record carries a location check, and the photos and video are sealed the moment they are stored.
What does PallasMark's AI label reading do?
On the Scale plan, when a scanned code matches no order, the operator can photograph the package label instead. AI label reading fills supplier, batch or lot, quantity, location, condition and your own custom fields into an editable form that the operator reviews before saving. A scanned barcode always wins over the AI reading.
